1. CALENDAR AND LOCATION:

The course will be held between July 6 and 12, 2026 at the Escola Municipal de Música de Berga.

  • July 6th (during the day): Arrival of students and opening ceremony of the course.

  • July 8th: teachers' concert.

  • July 10th: students' concert with Ivet Frontela.

  • July 12th (during the morning): Closing ceremony and final concert of students.

Berga can be reached by car, train or plane (Barcelona Airport) from anywhere in Spain. See more information in our FAQ section.

2. ROASTER:

The teachers of the course are:

  • Nacho Gascón, professor at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC).

  • The four members of Kebyart.

    • Pere Méndez, soprano saxophone

    • Víctor Serra, alto saxophone

    • Robert Seara, tenor saxophone

    • Daniel Miguel, baritone saxophone

  • Mariano García, professor at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) (marianogarciasax.com).

  • Ivet Frontela, repertoire pianist.

3. COURSE ACTIVITIES:

The course consists of:

  • Individual classes.

  • Chamber music classes.

  • Masterclass by the guest professor.

  • Saxophone Ensemble.

  • Concert of students and teachers.

  • Exhibition and testing of saxophones and accessories from different brands.

  • Conferences and talks by teachers.

  • Free time activities & sports.

4. MODALITIES:

  1. Individual mode (from middle studies to higher education music students).

  2. Saxophone quartet mode: for stable quartets. Check the characteristics of this modality

5. SELECTION

Limited number of places. Applications will be accepted in order of receipt.

First registration deadline: June 1, 2025 Second registration deadline: June 15, 2026.

6. PRICES

Until June 1, 2026:

  • Individual student modality: the course fee is 380€ (300 € of which will be paid as registration fees).

  • Chamber Music / Saxophone quartet modality: the course fee per student is 160 € (100 € of which will be paid as registration fees).

It includes all the activities of the course and lunch from Thursday to Tuesday.

From June 1 to June 14, 2026:

  • Individual student modality: the course fee is 400€ (320€ of which will be paid as registration fees).

  • Chamber Music / Saxophone quartet modality: the course fee per student is 160 € (100 € of which will be paid as registration fees).

It includes all the activities of the course and lunch from Monday to Saturday.

6.1. Accommodation

The course organization will provide accommodation in the Berga Park Hotel (shared rooms) to those students who request it in the form. Accommodation and full board (from the evening of the 6th to the morning on the 12th, lunch included) will cost 220€.

Other recommended accommodation - for seniors or if you come with the whole family - is Hotel Berga Park (approx. 60€ per night/single room, bed and breakfast). This alternative accommodation will not be provided or managed by the course organization, and is subject to the availability of the hotel itself.

In the case of minors, the attendance authorization signed by the parents or legal guardians of the student will be included in the registration form.

Registration will be confirmed via email by the organization. The remaining part of the course fee can be paid optionally at the time of registration or obligatorily the week before the course via bank transfer..

8. MATERIAL

  • Uniform black concert clothes

  • course scores

  • case with pencil, eraser and pen

  • music stand.

    We recommend that everything be marked with the student's name.
